Reading in Class
Today my teacher caught me reading from a book of funny quotes during class. She told me that she was very disappointed in me for reading from this book instead of reading from our class book. Our class book is a book about the war. It is a very sad book and it makes me very grumpy and cranky. It is very confusing and there are a lot of details and that is always about people dying. I do not like reading this kind of material because it makes me very depressed and it makes me very anxious. That is why I had to sneak my own book into class today. I do not know why the teacher had to be so mean to me. She could’ve just asked me to put the book away but instead she sent me to the principals office and I got in big trouble. I tried to explain my situation but the principle was not listening.
